Lights... Camera... (I'm not finishing this cliche!)

So I decided to by some lighting and backdrops. Ebay is a wonderful place. I found a great deal and now I'm the proud owner of a whole lighting set! And let me tell you it is so much fun! My friend Kim came over to help me play with it. She was my test subject, and it was so much fun! Kim recently returned from her mission to Ohio, so she told stories and I snapped the camera, we even got a little penguin that I made in on the deal!

My cousin TyAnn got married April 17th, she (and her wonderful photographer) were nice enough to let me play with the camera. It was the perfect day, and Ty was the perfect bride, she was absolutely stunning.

Kidnapped!

So I'm really liking this kidnapping people randomly and taking their pictures. Over conference weekend we actually had some really nice weather (not the usual raining icky stuff) so I texted Nicole during the afternoon session and picked her up soon after it ended, I love that I gave her like five minutes to get ready for a photo shoot! But the pictures turned out great! She is very photogenic and therefore makes my job super easy! She even took a turn with the camera and did a mini shoot of me, (she took my profile picture). I love that my camera is that easy to run and take such great pictures! So here are the results from the day!

This one turned out really cool, its a big pillar at a church house in Garland.


Colored walls make the coolest backgrounds. I can't believe I got her to make a "serious" face.

Picture Day!

A Ball!!!

So a little while ago, my good friend Jeremy texted to taunt me that he was going to a ball... wait, not just a ball... a masquerade ball! So I in turn told him that I wanted to go and he was obliging and sent me the invite! Funny thing is, Jeremy and I were the only ones that really took the whole costume thing in to mind... (Stacy went with us, and had less than 24 hours notice to find something to wear, I think she did a pretty darn good job!) So after driving to Salt Lake we found ourselves in a "haunted" Baptist church... and yes there was a ghost tour and it was a bit too real for me! (especially in the catacombs, that was a bit too much for me, and I really felt that something didn't want us there). After that we just kind of chilled, played with Jeremy's sword (I wish I would have taken my camera in and got a shot of it!) and got some sweet pictures taken. And my mask totally kicked butt!!! Look at my freaking curly hair!!! hehe, it doesn't look like that very often!

A bit of advice...

So I have a bit of advice for everyone out there. When you are getting into a car covered in snow, make sure that your wipers are turned off and your door is closed before you start your car... Otherwise your car becomes filled with snow, and your butt gets a bit wet if you are sitting in the car... Just an idea. And yes, I did do this today.
