Steal Magnolia…
I absolutely adore these new bushes they have at the temple!!! They are stunning, and I would have never guessed that they would actually live and survive in Logan! But my aunt assures me that they will. Its a type of Tulip Magnolia. Enjoy!

Pictures…
I have noticed two things… One: I am really bad at blogging as of late (as of ever, actually) and Two: I haven’t taken many non-client pictures for a long time. So to work on both of these, I’m going to start at least posting a picture a day (disclaimer: if I actually do a real blog entry there may not be a new picture that day…) So here we go with picture #1.
I decided to take a walk today, funny thing is that I drove to my walk… But my walk had a different purpose than just exercising and getting out of my apartment. I live pretty close to down town Logan, the historic part of Logan. It has so many interesting pieces and I feel they are often taken for granted. I happen to love interesting light designs and this one is a winner. Look at all that detail! How in the world can someone walk by this everyday and not notice it? Truly stunning..

View from my window…
I have to say that I love the new apartment. A big part of the reason is that I get to this view most every night. Tonight was just a little bit better than the usual, because it had just finished raining when this stunning sunset showed up. I absolutely LOVE it!
Oh, by the way, I moved. Not very far. Same complex, just different apartment. It faces West instead of East, which is how we were privileged with tonight’s picture. Also, I started a new job a few weeks ago at Procter and Gamble. They are opening a new plant in Bear River City, its a 40 minute commute. But I don’t mind it. The nice thing is that I drive passed my parents house to get to work, so I get to stop in and see them a few times a week. Its nice to see them more often, makes being away from them easier. Work is great, I love it and I’m learning so much. I’m a plant technician, I get to do the maintenance on the machines and also work the product through the line. Its definitely a learning experience! I don’t think I studied this much all through college. The funny thing is that I have a degree in English… This is a job suited for an engineer… Haha! Definitely something my Michigan cousins would be better equipped at! Speaking of studying… my bed is calling. All this learning is wearing me out!

Basements and Neighbors… and dumb doors…
I think someone has put a curse on me… in the past two days I’ve been “’locked out” three times. These are the first instances of me being locked out in the last 4 months of living here! Someone is really happy about locking my door. The first two times I was able to crawl through the window, thank goodness for basement apartments! My neighbor, Wylie, got a good laugh watching me crawl in on one of these occasions. Today the window was locked as well… so that meant one thing… go find Trevor… Trevor is amazing at credit carding doors, its a beautiful talent and I’m glad that he has it! I was very thankful for it today. He came over and within a few seconds I was back in my apartment. Let this be a lesson to you kids… always have a good looking neighbor that can card your door!

Suicidal Fish
First… a little back story…
A few months ago I bought a fish. A beta fish. For the longest time I couldn’t figure out a name for him, so he has been “fish with no name” Well… Today he got a name..For anyone that has not read The Hunger Games, I’m sorry if this is a spoiler for you.
So today after church I decided to clean my fish bowl. I went about my normal routine of filling a mug with new water for him to swim in while I cleaned his home and placed him in it (I was really surprised that it took less than five minutes to catch him, more like 2 seconds this time) Normally he is a pretty laid back fish, so I thought I’d be fine leaving him in the mug while the home teachers came. (Which it was a really good visit today.) Well, they were here for an hour, so when they had left I figured the new water in the bowl would be ready for the fish to be put back in. Small problem… I went to the mug and there was no fish in it. I checked the bowl to see if I had put him back in with out thinking about it… no fish… so then I figure he’s jumped out. No good! He’s not on the counter anywhere… so that leaves—the floor! Crap! The fish was lying in the middle of the floor! I thought for sure he was dead. I tried to pick him up and he jumped… good sign! He’s a fighter! (and I found out that beta’s don’t really need to get their oxygen from the water like other fish) So I put him back in the bowl and he started swimming around like nothing had happened. This earned him a name…
Gale
If you have read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire you know that Gale is a strong person that wants to escape his environment and is willing to fight for change.(And he’s also tall dark and handsome…) Well, apparently my fish wanted to escape, and definitely is a fighter! So his name is Gale.

Surprise kiss…
No by the title I didn’t get a surprise kiss, but question to all of you. Have you ever wanted to just randomly go up to some really good looking guy and kiss them just to see what the response was? I’m not talking about a quick peck, I’m talking full on passionate kiss on the mouth?
I’m beginning to think this is the only way that I’m going to break the friendship barrier with a few guys that I know, because I can only handle sitting on the side lines watching them go after girl after girl, while I stand there not knowing what to do to get their attention. And any thing I do try gets pushed aside as something that “cute, shy, Meg the friend” did… So warning to all you guys out there.., if you keep it up, you may get a slight surprise one day!
